The Darul-Uloom Ashrafiya Arabiya in Rander, Surat was established in 1870 by Haji Ismail Mohammed Ashraf. Initially a madrasa, it expanded into a full-fledged Dar-ul-Uloom under the leadership of Maulana Ahmed Ashraf Randeri. The institution aimed to provide in-depth Islamic education, focusing on classical Islamic sciences, and it remains a significant center for religious learning in Gujarat. Over the years, it has produced numerous scholars who have contributed to Islamic scholarship globally. Currently, Maulana Yaqub Ashraf Randeri serves as the principal.
