The westward drive from Seiyun is about 2 hours through the Mahrat mountains. If one is travelling from the port city of Mukalla, then the drive northward takes about 3 and a half hours.

The Yemenis state that after the destruction of the People of Aad (in the North of Hadramaut), Hûd AS continued to reside in the Hadramaut region until he passed away.

His grave is situated about two hours away from the town of Seiyun in North Eastern Hadramaut. The grave today is surrounded by a number of buildings.
