BI’R KHATAM/ BI’R ARIS (THE WELL OF THE RING) , MADINAH

The Al Khatam (Ring) well is situated west of Masjid Quba. It was named as such because it is at this well that the ring of the Prophet ﷺ fell from the hand of Uthman RA during his rule as Khalif. This incident, as prophecised by the Messenger ﷺ, led to much turbulence within the ummah (nation).
This is also the place where the Prophet ﷺ gave Abu Bakr, Umar and Uthmaan the glad tidings of Paradise.
The well is also known as the ‘Al Aris’ and ‘Al Nabi’ well.
