- The Quran hasn’t specified the exact spot where Isa AS was born and has sufficed with mentioning that it was at the foot of a remote date palm by a freshwater stream. It is believed that Prophet Isa AS was born in the grotto which is currently located in the Church of Nativity in Bethlehem.
- Bethlehem – which is derived from the Arabic – Bayt-Lahm (House of Meat) – in addition to being a possible birthplace of Isa AS, was also a Muslim-ruled city for many centuries.
