- Manaus; located in northern Brazil, is the capital city of the state of Amazonas. In a momentous event that unfolded on September 12, 2012, the Mosque of Manaus, a radiant cornerstone of the Islamic Center of Amazonas, graced the city with its presence where an inauguration took place in the Sacred Hall of the Mosque. Among the distinguished guests were not only local dignitaries but also Sheikh Dr. Abdelhamid Mitwally and the Ambassador of Palestine to Brazil, Dr. Ibrahim Al Zeben, were present at the ceremony.
