How to get here:

The musjid is half an hour’s drive south of the Old City. It is a well-known site as the Shia visit it as part of their pilgrimage to Syria.

  • Zaynab RA was the third child of Ali and Fatimah RA. Born in Medina in 626 CE, she was named by her grandfather, Muhammad SAW.
  • She married Abdullah the son of Ja’far RA and bore five children.
    She passed away in 682 CE and is believed by some to be buried at an area in the Southern part of Damascus while others believe that she is buried in Cairo.
