  •  The Great Mosque of Granada, situated in the city of Granada, Spain, opened its doors in 2003. Remarkably, this Musjid marked the first to be constructed in Granada since 1492.
  • It not only serves as a place of worship but also features a Centre for Islamic Studies offering a diverse range of activities, including lectures, Arabic language classes, exhibitions, and courses exploring Islam and Spain’s Islamic heritage.
  • Moreover, it provides support services for Muslims and houses a library containing Spanish texts and audiovisual materials related to Islam in both Arabic and English.
  • The mosque’s garden offers a picturesque view of the Darro River valley and the Sabika Mount, crowned by the Alhambra.
  • In the distance, one can admire the peaks of Sierra Nevada.
  • The garden’s botanical composition predominantly comprises Mediterranean species such as pine, olive, pomegranate, orange, and lemon.
  • This remarkable Musjid is located in Plaza San Nicolás in the Albaicín neighborhood.
