GRAND BAZAAR OF ISFAHAN
  • The old bazaar of Isfahan dates back to the 11th century during the Seljuk era. The Grand Bazaar, which was added in the 16th century, was built on the southwest wing of Jami’ Musjid. It comprises almost 5km of shopping streets with many arches and corridors. In the past, this bazaar was the centre of the city and it was also a meeting point for the locals.  Of all the bazaars in Iran, none can compare in size to the Grand Bazaar of Isfahan.
