  • Located close to the city of Mahis, Wadi Shuaib is a beautiful valley said to contain the burial place of Nabi Shu’ayb AS.
  • Shu’ayb AS is one of the few Prophets mentioned by name in the Holy Quran, He was sent to the people of Madyan who attested to him being righteous and tolerant but failed to accept his advices to worship Allah alone and to be fair in their dealings.
  • The tomb that is said to house his grave is adjacent to the beautiful, white Musjid built in the valley.
  • Interestingly, the Druze consider Nabi Shu’ayb AS to be one of their most important saints and this place as their most sacred site. The tomb of  Nabi Shu’ayb AS, has been a site of annual pilgrimage of the Druze for centuries.
