Mezquita As-Salam is a Sunni Muslim Musjid located in Santiago’s Ñuñoa district, it holds the distinction of being Chile’s first Musjid.
Its construction began in 1988 under the guidance of Sheikh Taufiq Rumie’, a prominent leader of the Chilean Muslim community for over six decades. -
The Musjid was completed in 1989 and officially inaugurated by a Malaysian prince in 1996.

The establishment of Mezquita As-Salam marked a significant milestone for Islam in Chile, providing a dedicated place of worship and community gathering for Muslims in the capital. Its presence has contributed to the growth and visibility of the Muslim community in the country.
