Hidden away in the markets of the old city is the Nuriyyah Madrassah. It is a 5 minute walk to the south-west from the Umawi Musjid via Nour Eddin Al Shaheed Street.

  • The Nur al-Din Madrasah is a funerary madrasah in Damascus, Syria. It is in the Suq al-Khayattin, inside the city walls. It was built in 1167 by Nūr ad-Dīn Zangī, atabeg of Syria, who is buried there.
