Located in the valley east of the Musjid al Haram is Jannat al Mu’alla, the historical graveyard in Makkah where several members of Prophet Muhammad’s ﷺ family and companions are buried.

    • Some of the personalities buried here are:
      1)    Khadijah RA, the first wife of the Prophet ﷺ
      2)   Qasim, the eldest son of the Prophet ﷺ and Khadijah who passed away in infancy.
      3)   Abdullah, the second son of the Prophet ﷺ and Khadijah RA. He was was also known as Tahir and Tayyab.
      4)   Abu Talib – the uncle of the Prophet ﷺ.
      Abdul Mutallib – the grandfather of the Prophet ﷺ
